This year, the Festival for New Music is getting up close and personal with the audience: the audience stage at the Stuttgart Theaterhaus is being completely expanded. Vanessa Porter is also increasingly trying to design her program in such a way that there is a direct exchange with the audience. Nevertheless, she usually performs on the classic frontal stage: »It’s simply closer now, that’s new for me. For the most part, I always play my works by heart. And I find this direct contact extremely important.«
